The state of danscape. Or, the first weekly wrap-up!

I've done a few cool things with danscape this week.  Not just the blog and site but with business practices, too! If you know me, you know that I'm a fan of Social Media.  As I learn more about the good and proper use of it AND as I see it evolve in short amounts, how I put SM to use for me, danscape and my clients is changing ... so here's what's going on!

I've begun using a product called FathomFocus. It's a great app that will help me present my images to clients in a more streamlined manner.  It'll mean an alteration in my workflow a little bit but the extra effort is certainly worth it.  If all works out, I'll be able to offer a wider variety of products to my clients with less effort for either of us.

Another big change is that you'll see weekly wrap-ups like this one! Taking a page from Tim Ferris and his 5-Bullet Fridays, I'll be creating a weekly post that touches on the highlights of the past week and will show a few of the cool things I've stumbled across such as Instagram accounts I follow, awesome Youtube videos and the like.  I'll also show cool new products that I'm trying out for photos, videos or even apps. It'll be a mixed bag but the more that I send out, the sooner I'll form a rhythm with them.

Also, on the side of each and every blog post (or below on a mobile device), you'll see the new subscribe form.  enter your email and you'll get an email every Friday with the weekly wrap-up for that week AND all the other posts that have come out since the last email.  The plan is to send them out only once a week so I don't bug you with every update. Let's begin!

First, a video from one of my favorite Youtube channels, Every Frame a Painting. The dude disects a variety of film directors in a variety of styles and highlights different parts of what makes a scene; color, movement, cinematograpy.  Sometimes he'll stick with a certain director and show what makes their work unique.  In the clip below, he talks about the intricacies of the work of Chuck Jones, he of the old Warner Brothers cartoons.  A brilliant look at stuff we loved as a kid!

Tune of the Week!
